Formed in 1996, the Gold Country Visitors Association (GCVA) is funded through membership dues combined with funding from the California Travel and Tourism Commission. The GCVA's primary goal is to develop open communications throughout California's Gold Country with the sole focus of promoting tourism to the Gold Country through a regional, cooperative effort.
