Pipestone has a lot to offer from Native American History to the latest in Wind Technology. Suzlon Rotor Corporation, a manufacturer and supplier of rotor blades and nose cones, is located in Pipestone, and there are nearly 1000 Wind Turbines located in Southwest Minnesota on Buffalo Ridge. Pipestone's Historic District is one of Minnesota's largest with twenty beautiful Sioux Quartzite buildings built in the 1880-1900 time period. All are listed on the National Registry for Historic Places.
